The ideal retreat, nestled in a forest clearing, this cottage is surrounded by bushland providing relaxing native vistas. The Seidler House by Contemporary Hotels

Located in the Southern Highlands, this Joadja masterpiece is the iconic work of Australia’s architectural master, the late Harry Seidler. The home is positioned on the edge of a sandstone escarpment and has been built into the natural rock formation. Panoramic bush views can be enjoyed throughout this whole property.

The home offers spacious open plan living, with floor-to-ceiling glass framing the beautiful scenery and making the most of the natural light and warmth. Set on 150 acres, Seidler has expansive viewing decks – perfect for enjoying dinner or an afternoon drink. With four large bedrooms, the home can comfortably accommodate eight guests.  The overall atmosphere created at The Seidler House is a magical combination of privacy, tranquility, and luxury – all in complete harmony with the surrounding nature.

Why we love it: There’s a reason it’s an architectural masterpiece. We can’t get enough of the angles, stone work and use of glass throughout.
